Conn. Man Accused in School Bus Crime Spree



NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP)  -- Police have charged a 43-year-old New Britain man with stealing a school bus and using it for a crime spree.
   
Police say Thomas Zouhar stole the mini-school bus Thursday morning when the driver left the bus running to use a restroom.
   
The bus was later found in a Cromwell parking lot by town police.
   
Police say Zouhar headed to Cromwell where is has worked as a cleaner and failed in one attempt to break into a home, but was able to get inside another and steal a TV.
   
Police say he drove to a supermarket on Berlin Road, where he abandoned the bus and television. Police found Zouhar inside the supermarket where he was allegedly trying to steal keys.
   
Zouhar is facing several larceny and burglary charges.
