Police Seize 10,000 Packets of Heroin in L.I. Home

SMITHTOWN, N.Y. (AP) -- Police on Long Island say they've seized thousands of packets of heroin and a stash of other drugs and cash from a man's home.
Authorities say police executing a warrant Thursday in Smithtown found about 10,000 packets of heroin, a kilogram of cocaine, nearly a pound of marijuana and $125,000 in cash.
They've arrested two men, ages 22 and 25, on drug charges.
The bust came after police say they saw the two men engage in a drug transaction at a shopping center in Islandia.
