Cops Search Man's Apt. Again in Missing Woman Case
WALLKILL, N.Y. (AP) -- State police investigators have made another search of the upstate apartment of the man last seen with a New York City woman who disappeared earlier this month.
Michael Mele's girlfriend accompanied investigators during yesterday's search of his apartment in Wallkill, police divers searched a nearby lake in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Laura Garza.
Mele is being held at the Orange County Jail on probation violations, but hasn't been charged in Garza's disappearance.
