NYPD Officers Accused of Brutally Beating Bronx Family

NEW YORK (AP)  -- A Bronx family is accusing NYPD officers of assaulting them and their guests during a New Year's Party.

Terry Sheridan Reports

The Serrano family has the whole incident on video from security cameras in the hallway outside the apartment.

One video allegedly shows officers trying to break down the front door of the Serrano apartment at 245 Brooke Avenue.

The father, Santiago Serrano, says his wife has a bruise from the incident and his son had to get a staple in his scalp and has bruises on his face.

Another video reportedly shows guests at the family home being questioned and maced.

The Serranos were all arrested but a judge threw out all the charges against them.

The NYPD says that Internal Affairs is looking into the incident.
