NEW YORK (AP) -- Two people appear to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning after being found in the garage of a Long Island home where a vehicle's engine was running.
Six other residents of the Bay Shore home were treated at a nearby hospital and released.
Suffolk County police say they were called to the home at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. They found 31-year-old Walter Corea dead on the floor. A 23-year-old woman identified as Santos Rios-Vasquez was found dead inside the vehicle.
