Court Hearing Today For Holland Township Kids with Nazi-Inspired Names
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP (AP) -- A New Jersey couple who gave their three children Nazi-inspired names is due in family court today.
Steve Sandberg reports.
The children, ranging in age from 3 to under 1, were removed from their home Friday.
They drew attention last month when a supermarket bakery refused to put the name of the oldest -- Adolf Hitler Campbell -- on a birthday cake. The other two children, both girls, are JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell.
Family court proceedings are sealed and confidential.
A spokeswoman for New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services said yesterday that the state would not take children from their parents simply because of their names. She declined to say why the children were removed.
Harris said the parents were not happy about the decision, but that there was nothing unusual about the procedure.
