EOD - Monthly Procedure: Cool Lipo Laser

The state-of-theart CoolLipo LASER-Assisted Lipolysis is a new, minimally invasive technology that uses LASER energy to melt fat and cellulite and tighten skin. The LASER allows a smoother postoperative recovery with minimal bruising and swelling compared with regular tumescent liposuction. Patients have often returned to work on the same day as the LASER liposuction procedure! The LASER-assisted lipolysis allows even small areas of fat that are usually diffi cult to treat, such as the chin, neck, jowls, face, and arms to be treated easily. In addition, the unique wavelength of the CoolLipo LASER-Assisted Lipolysis can directly contract collagen, which tightens skin from the inside out and reduces cellulite, which regular liposuction cannot do. LASER liposuction can be added as an adjunct to regular tumescent liposuction to achieve tightening of loose skin and reduction of cellulite. Compared with SmartLipo, CoolLipo has a shorter pulse duration (more energy delivered per unit of time and less damage to surrounding non-targeted tissue), higher peak power (more effective disruption of targeted fat), and more optimal wavelength for collagen rejuvenation and skin tightening (1320 nm for Cool Lipo targets water in collagen vs 1064 nm for Smart Lipo targets melanin and hemoglobin).
