11th Annual St. Patty's Pub Crawl Draws Thousands

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Thousands of people have signed up for 11th annual Luck of the Irish St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl.

Terry Sheridan Reports

Over 100 bars are taking part in the event, most of them up and down 3rd Avenue from the Village all the way to the Upper East Side.

The event will begin on Saturday, go through Sunday, skip Monday and wrap up on Tuesday, March 17th. Monday is skipped to help people recover.

Organizers say this is an attempt to break the Guiness Book of World Records record for the world's largest pub crawl.

Tickets for the day are $20 and 3-day tickets are $30. More than 3,000 tickets have been sold so far. About 4,000 tickets were sold last year.
