Price for Daily News Lowered as New York Post's Raised
|
NEW YORK (AP) -- The Daily News Monday morning dropped its newstand price to a quarter the same day the rival New York Post went up from a quarter to 50 cents.
The Post has been 25 cents since 2000. The change comes as the Audit Bureau of Circulation said the Post pulled ahead of the News in weekday circulation.
So far, the Daily News is only committing to the price cut for a week.
