NEW YORK (AP) -- A lucky Long Island man says he ignored friends who told him not to play the lottery on Friday the 13th - and it paid-off, big time.

Isabel Zelaya, of Wyandanch, won $26 million after winning the lottery last Friday, but as he tells 1010 WINS he always buys lotto tickets on Fridays.
"I wake up my daughter and said...you and me are the new millionaires," Zelaya said. "I cried with my daughter...it will change my life," he said.
He says he ignored friends who told him it would be unlucky to play on that day.
