Cops: Boy Found Covered in Human Waste at L.I. Home
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County Police say three people have been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after authorities found a baby boy covered in human waste in a Bay Shore home.
Al Jones Reports
Police went to the home on Sylvan Street Wednesday to investigate a report of child abuse and neglect involving two children. There, they arrested 37-year-old Tara Graham after finding the 20-month-old boy and his room covered in filth and human waste. The child was turned over to Child Protective Services.
Following the arrest, the investigation turned to concentrate on finding the original two children referenced in the report.
Detectives determined the children were most likely with Graham's 23-year-old daughter Alicia.
Police say they found Alicia Graham and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Hector Trioche, with the children in a car at a gas station on Straight Path in Wyandanch.
A battered and bruised 6-year-old girl was found in the car, along with a 13-month-old girl wrapped in a blanket and buried under debris in the vehicle, police say. The baby was allegedly beaten, lethargic and in need of medical attention.
Both children were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.
Police say the two girls are Trioche's nieces and the boy found at the home is the son of Trioche and Alicia Graham.
