Rivals Face off at Coney Island Hot Dog Match

NEW YORK (AP)  -- Reigning champ Joey Chestnut takes on six-time titleholder Takeru Kobayashi in Coney Island's annual hot-dog eating contest.

Last year's event ended in a tie with Chestnut, of San Jose, Calif., and Kobayashi, of Japan, both gobbling down 59 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. A dramatic five hot dog eat-off ensued with Chestnut emerging victorious.

Saturday's annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-eating Contest starts at noon.
