Conn. Police Find Body in Waters Off Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP)  -- Stamford police are waiting for autopsy results on the body of a man recovered from the waters off Shippan Point over the weekend.

The body was discovered floating in the water Saturday morning and reported to Stamford Police.

Last weekend, Stamford Police and neighboring police departments, along with the Coast Guard, had searched the waters off Stamford for a 52-year-old Stamford man whose boat was found adrift in that area.

Police say it's possible the body recovered is that missing boater.
