NJ City Worker Suspended in Vote Fraud Case

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP)  -- A city employee in Atlantic City has been suspended from her job after being charged in a voting fraud case.

Landlord-Tenant Affairs clerk Toni Dixon left work Thursday. She is the sister of Craig Calloway, a former city council president currently serving a federal prison term for bribery.

Dixon is suspended with pay from her city job.

She is one of five people who have been arrested since last month in an investigation of the mayoral campaign of Marty Small. Small was trounced in a Democratic primary election by incumbent Mayor Lorenzo Langford.

Dixon is free on her own recognizance.
