Brentwood Teen Killed, Brother Hurt in Car Crash

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police on Long Island say a teenage driver crashed his car into a tree in Brentwood, killing his younger brother.

Suffolk County Police say 16-year-old Benjamin Claudio apparently lost control of his car, struck a tree and an unoccupied vehicle just before noon on Tuesday.

Police say the driver's brother, 15-year-old Peter Claudio, died from his injuries at a local hospital.

The older brother was airlifted to a nearby trauma center and was listed in critical condition.

Nobody else was in the car, which has been impounded for safety checks.
