Brooke Astor's Son Falls, Strikes Head at Courthouse
NEW YORK (AP) -- The son of Brooke Astor fell and struck his head in the restroom of a Manhattan courthouse where he is on trial.
Carol D'Auria reports
Court officers say the incident occurred during a break, around
11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Anthony Marshall was taken out on a stretcher, wearing an oxygen mask but sitting upright. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The judge dismissed the jury for the day at 12:45 p.m. He told them not to speculate on the reason.
Marshall and a co-defendant deny accusations of exploiting Astor's dementia to loot her $198 million fortune.
