23-Year-Old Man Dies in Hicksville House Fire

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (AP)  -- Police say a house fire on Long Island claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.

Police say Richard Greene was pulled from a house fire in Hicksville Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police report no other injuries.

The Hicksville Fire Department was assisted by four other area fire departments with approximately 60 firefighters.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, which is not considered suspicious.
