JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Police in Jersey City are hoping to catch two suspects wanted in a shooting outside the 30-Minute Oil Change on Broadway and have released a graphic surveillance video of the altercation.
Surveillance video shows man being shot in Jersey City (WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC)
The video shows a 43-year-old employee arriving for work at the garage around 6:30 a.m. on June 18. After getting out of his van, the worker is ambushed by one of the suspects and shot in the arm and stomach.
After the shooting, the victim is seen stumbling and falling to the pavement bleeding as several cars pass him by. Police say none of the drivers called 911 or stopped to help.
A man working on his truck nearby went to the victim's side and dialed 911, police said.
Another surveillance camera apparently caught the suspects pulling up to the scene 45 minutes prior to the shooting.
Police say the suspects, described as one man and possibly another man or woman, fled in a dark red Ford Focus model ZX-4 SES.
Police believe the suspects had targeted the business with intent to rob it.
The business owner and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office have posted a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
