Brooklyn Bystander Shot Dead

NEW YORK (1010WINS) -- An innocent woman was shot and killed late Friday afternoon in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.

Police say 44 year old Jesselle Page was sitting on a bench in a courtyard outside the Bushwick housing project on Moore Street where she lived when two men started shooting at each other at around 4:45pm.

According to police, a stray bullet struck her in her upper body. Police say she was not the intended target of the shooting. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Woodhull Hospital.

Police have arrested 24-year-old Terrance Villanueva of Brooklyn for the shooting. He has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a gun.
