Get Ready for Fleet Week in New York City



NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Ships, aircraft and personnel from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard arrive in New York City on Wednesday for the start of Fleet Week. 1010wins.com will provide streaming video of the Parade of ships.

The annual Fleet Week event gives citizens the opportunity to meet the crews and tour some of the ships. There will also be several military demonstrations and displays throughout the week.

On Wednesday morning, some of the ships expected to participate in the Parade of Ships up the Hudson River include: the USS Wasp; USS Hue City; USS Stephen W. Groves; USS Winston Churchill; USS Oscar Austin and the USS San Jacinto. Plus, several military planes and helicopters will fly over the parade.
