Bensonhurst Postal Carrier Accused of Assaulting Customer

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- A Bensonhurst postal worker is charged with sexually assaulting a woman on his delivery route, according to authorities.

Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes says on May 5, postal worker Jao Liu, 28, knocked on a woman's door because he was delivering packages that wouldn't fit through the slot.

Liu then allegedly asked about the neck brace she was wearing, hugged her and then left.

The 38-year old victim said Liu returned a short time later with more packages, but this time he forced his way in, kissed her and groped her breasts, authorities said.

Liu has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse, criminal trespassing and harassment.  He's been released on $750 bail and is due back in court on Wednesday.

The postal service said Liu has worked for them for the past five years and has a spotless record

Liu has been on personal leave since the incident.
