Nassau County police said Monday that relatives identified the body of 40-year-old Heyward Patterson.

They say he was reported missing Aug. 12 while swimming with friends in the Atlantic Ocean off Far Rockaway.

A medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of the Queens man's death.

Two joggers at Atlantic Beach found the swimmer's body in the sand on Sunday.
