Newark Police: Driver Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run of Elderly Man



NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS)  -- Newark Police say they are looking for the driver that was behind the wheel of a stolen car that mowed down an elderly man Thursday.


Kathleen Maloney reports

Police say 74-year-old Jacques Abour was crossing Mount Vernon Place when he struck by someone driving a stolen black Jaguar.

Police say the driver sped away leaving About in the middle of the street.

Abour was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
