Bethpage Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Jericho Turnpike

JERICHO, N.Y. (AP/1010 WINS) -- A motorcyclist has been killed on Long Island after he apparently lost control and crashed into a fence.

Nassau County Police say the accident occurred early Friday on Jericho Turnpike in Jericho.

The motorcyclist was identified by police as 21-year-old Bethpage resident Mohammad Chaudhry. He was taken to a local hospital with severe head trauma and died a short time later.

The motorcycle was impounded by police for safety checks.
