NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Long Island math teacher previously arrested on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl is now facing new charges of sexual misconduct with two more underage girls, Nassau County Police said.

Daniel Rothbard, 28, of Merrick, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with criminal sexual act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Rothbard's Defense lawyer Todd Greenberg said Friday his client was being held on $700,000 bail.
A 13-year-old girl told authorities that on July 7 she had sex with Rothbard in his home after meeting on Myspace, police say. Rothbard apparently picked up the girl and her friend and drove them to his house.
Rothbard had first made headlines in mid-July after a police officer allegedly caught him having sex with a 15-year-old girl in the parking lot of Westbrook Elementary School in West Islip . He had apparently met the girl on Myspace.
In that case, Rothbard pleaded not guilty to charges of third-degree rape, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse and child endangerment.
At the time of his initial arrest, Rothbard was a math teacher at the Willow Road Elementary School in Franklin Square. He had been employed there for four years. Rothbard also worked as a summer counselor for about 15 years at Rolling River Day School and Camp in East Rockaway.
