BB Gun Sniper Terrorizes Brooklyn Neighborhood

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Police in Brooklyn are on the lookout for a mysterious sniper with a BB gun who has been terrorizing residents of Brighton Beach.
It has happened at least eight times this month – someone with a BB gun is using the Seabreeze Condo building for target practice. Windows on several floors have been broken and people are getting worried.
No one has been hurt yet but residents say it’s only a matter of time.

Resident
Mendy Sontag is among those worried. “What if someone is shot in the eye or in the ear? There are kids here,” he said.
Sontag said he had no idea where the shots are coming from but said, “from the trajectory of the BB’s, it seems like its coming from the building across the yard.”
Victor Klempener, a resident on the condo board held an emergency meeting on Friday with police from the 60th precinct. He said this has got to stop.
“I’m afraid to even bring my grandkids on the balcony,” said Klempener.
Police have agreed to help find the culprit. They’re hoping someone comes forward before the mystery sniper strikes again.
