Vanessa Williams' Yorkshire Dog 'Enzo' is Missing

CHAPPAQUA, N..Y. -- The pet Yorkie belonging to actress-singer Vanessa Williams is missing. The dog, called Enzo, disappeared from her Chappaqua yard Monday, becoming the second pooch of a high-profile owner to go missing from northern Westchester since Mother's Day.

While Williams raised concerns that there's some sort of dognapping ring, Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Alagno suggested another theory, that coyotes are snatching the bite-size pets.

Alagno says coyotes are common and they prey on small pets.

Williams filed a missing-dog report with Mount Pleasant police Monday after she came home from an errand to find her black and tan Yorkshire terrier missing from her fenced-in yard.

Another dog, a blond dachshund in Yorktown that ran away on Mother's Day, has also failed to turn up, despite the work of a pet detective and a publicist.

Owners Ken Chandler, former publisher of the New York Post, and Doctor Erika Schwartz, an author, have appealed to newspaper and T-V reporters for help locating their missing dog, Gus.

They've offered a $2,500 reward.
