London Mayor Boris Johnson and Bloomberg announced a two-year agreement between their cities. They'll trade advertising space and share best practices on how to stimulate their local tourism industries.
New York City and London each say the other provides a major source of overseas tourism.
Under the agreement, London gets space to advertise on 71 New York City bus shelters for four weeks a year. New York gets 250 posters on the London Underground system for four weeks, twice a year.
The cities say the yearly value of each is $178,500.
