RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP/ 1010 WINS) -- A man accused of participating in a violent assault and robbery in a Long Island park last year has pleaded guilty to robbery charges and will be sentenced to 18 years in prison next month.
Nineteen-year-old Huntington resident Justin McDonald told a judge on Tuesday that he was armed with a baseball bat when he, 19-year-old Patrick Minkeson and his 20-year-old brother Anthony Minkeson accosted a woman and two men in a Greenlawn park on Sept. 2, 2008.
The Minkesons pleaded guilty to rape and robbery charges earlier this month. Anthony Minkeson admitted raping the woman and his brother acknowledged holding a gun during the attack.
A judge says she'll sentence Anthony Minkeson to 22 years in prison and Patrick Minkeson faces a 19-year sentence on Sept. 29.
