City Hall Renovations Force Bloomberg to Brooklyn
|
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- City Hall is moving to Brooklyn, along with Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
But just for two weeks in July.
The mayor and his staff are moving out while their historic Manhattan building is being revamped. First, the electrical system will be upgraded, part of a $60 million renovation of the nearly 200-year-old building that is expected to take years.
Starting July 9, the mayor and his staff will move to a building in downtown Brooklyn that houses the city's Office of Emergency Management.
