16 New York City Post Offices On the Chopping Block
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It looks like there are now 16 New York City post offices on the chopping block.
The Postal Service released a list of 371 post offices in danger of closing.
Officials say the list is not final and some locations may remain open as the Service crunches numbers. They add that the stations which will eventually close won't be shut down until sometime next year.
Of the stations named, seven are in the Bronx, another seven in Manhattan and two are in Queens.
The following post offices are set to close in New York City:

-- Hillside, 3292 Boston Road, Bronx
-- Melcourt, 860 Melrose Avenue, Bronx
-- Oak Point, 839 East 149th Street, Bronx
-- Van Nest, 715 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx
-- Cherokee, 1483 York Avenue, Manhattan
-- Manhattan College, 217 West 140th Street, Manhattan
-- Manhattan Pitt, 185 Clinton Street, Manhattan
-- Manhattan Port Authority, 76 Ninth Avenue, Manhattan
-- Manhattan Port Authority Convenience, 625 Eighth Avenue, Manhattan
-- Manhattan Tudor City, 5 Tudor City Place, Manhattan
-- Manhattan West Village, 527 Hudson Street, Manhattan
-- La Guardia Airport, Main Terminal, Flushing, Queens
-- Long Island City Annex, 4310 10th Street, Long Island City, Queens
