State police said Thursday that the man is charged in Mount Pleasant Town Court with traffic violations and weapon possession -- metal knuckles found in his car.
In July, eight people were killed -- including four children -- in a wrong-way crash on the Taconic. Diane Schuler's family disputes findings that she was drunk and high on marijuana.
The Journal News says dangerous driving also occurs on Interstate 684 in Putnam and Westchester counties.
In 2006 and 2007, some 450 people were convicted of driving more than 100 mph there. Unlike the Taconic, I-684 is a mostly straight, three-lane highway.
