Police Seek Suspect in 14 Staten Island Burglaries
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City police are asking for help in tracking down a suspect wanted in connection with at least 14 burglaries on Staten Island.
Police say 27-year-old Daniel Caceres and his accomplice, Vanessa Perez, broke into the homes while the owners slept.
The alleged burglaries began Sept. 3 and went on for over a month.
Police say the alleged burglars struck home in Great Kills, Dongan Hills, New Dorp, Grant City, Bay Terrace, Grasmere, Midland Beach, Willowbrook and Meiers Corners.
Caceres made his way into the homes through unlocked doors and windows, police say.
Perez was arrest earlier this month and has since been released on $5,000 bail. She was charged in connection with two burglaries. Her next court date is Dec. 8.
