Police: Man Tried to Abduct 8-Year-Old Boy in Astoria



NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- The hunt is on for a suspect who allegedly tried to abduct an 8-year-old boy in Queens Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the suspect grabbed the boy by the wrist and pulled him along saying "Come go with me." The boy managed to break away from the man and ran crying for help.

Police say the boy's mother tried to find the suspect to confront him but he ran away on foot.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Broadway and 37th Street in Astoria.

The suspect is believed to be between 30 and 40-years-old. Police say he was seen wearing a beige baseball cap, gray hoodie, and a long gray overcoat.
