CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) -- A Long Island woman charged with stabbing her husband to death has pleaded not guilty.
Kathleen Prisco appeared in a courtroom in Central Islip on Saturday.
The 48-year-old woman pleaded not guilty through her lawyer, John Cucci Jr., to second-degree murder in the killing of her husband, Ralph Prisco.
A district court judge agreed with her lawyer's request to place Prisco on suicide watch in the Riverhead jail where she's being held.
Prosecutors accuse Prisco of stabbing her 54-year-old husband more than a dozen times in their Fort Salonga home on Friday.
Investigators haven't said what led to the stabbing.
A bail hearing for Prisco is scheduled for Monday.
