PELHAM, N.Y. (AP) -- An elementary School in Westchester County will be closed Monday after the roof collapsed during work on an addition to the school.
Two construction workers were injured in the collapse Saturday at the Colonial School in Pelham.
Pelham Police Chief Joseph Benefico said the front wall of the school pitched out and the roof collapsed.
The two injured workers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. Their names were not released, and their conditions were not known.
School district officials said the school would be closed Monday as a precaution. They expect classes to be held as normal on Tuesday.
