Prosecutors: L.I. Woman Talked About Stabbing Husband
NEW YORK (AP/ 1010 WINS) -- Authorities say a Long Island woman talked about being framed by her husband after she was arrested for allegedly stabbing him to death at their home.
Prosecutors say they do not know what 48-year-old Kathleen Prisco believed she was being framed for.
Prisco allegedly admitted to police that she had stabbed her husband according to court papers made public Monday.
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt my husband. He was gonna frame me. I figured I might as well do something. There was a knife by my bed," the statement read.

Defense lawyer Thomas Liotti hinted at possibly seeking a psychiatric defense and was granted a court ordered mental evaluation of Prisco.
Prisco pleaded not guilty Saturday to second-degree murder in the killing of her husband, Ralph Prisco.
A district court judge agreed with her lawyer's request to place Prisco on suicide watch in the Riverhead jail where she's being held.
Prosecutors accuse Prisco of stabbing her 54-year-old husband more than a dozen times in their Fort Salonga home on Friday.
