TRENTON, N.J. (AP/1010 WINS) -- Voters are heading to the polls to elect 82 members of the Legislature months after this summer's massive federal corruption sting turned some political campaigns inside out.
Voters will select two Assembly candidates in each of the state's 40 districts.
Two Senate seats are also up for grabs. They were left vacant when Democrat John Adler and Republican Leonard Lance were elected to Congress last year.
Corruption has had an affect on the races. Since 2007, seven assemblymen have been arrested; six were charged with corruption, one with possession of child porn.
And in Hudson County's District 31, Democratic Assemblyman Anthony Chiappone is seeking re-election despite being under indictment on charges of official misconduct and campaign finance law violations.
