FDNY: 1 Dead in Upper West Side Apartment Fire



NEW YORK (AP/ 1010 WINS)  -- Officials say a fire in an apartment building on Manhattan's Upper West Side claimed one life.

Sixty firefighters battled the blaze, which broke out in a third floor apartment on West 104th Street just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials say one person was found dead on the third floor. Information on the victim was not immediately available.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
