Cops Search for 2 More Suspects in L.I. Anti-Gay Attack
|
MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP/1010 WINS) -- Police on Long Island are continuing their search for two of three men who attacked and robbed two other men while shouting an anti-gay slur.
Nassau County police said the two suspects remained at large on Friday.
Police already have arrested Robert Bellamy Jr., 23, in connection with the incident. Bellamy is being held on hate crime-related charges on $50,000 cash bail.
Investigators said the suspects punched and kicked the two men in Lakeview in the early-morning hours after Halloween.
They say the victims suffered black eyes, bruises and bloody lips. One was dressed in women's clothing, possibly as a costume.
Their assailants also took $7 from one of them.
