Ultra Slim-Fast Causes NJ Transit Train Delay

RAHWAY, N.J. (AP/1010 WINS)  -- Police say a suspicious substance found on an NJ Transit train was Ultra Slim-Fast.

Spokesman Dan Stessel says the diet supplement was found on the floor of the sixth car of Train 3221.

The train had left New York City for Long Branch at 7:01 a.m. Thursday and the powdery substance was spotted when the train reached Rahway about 40 minutes later.

Stessel says about 200 passengers were transferred to the next train. The spokesman says no one complained of any health problems.

New York City police have responded this week to six reports of powder in envelops mailed to foreign missions to the United Nations.
