Police: Suspects Sought in 3 More Pharmacy Robberies

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Three robberies have been linked to two men responsible for a string of armed robberies of pharmacies across the city, police say.

The alleged robbers have struck 11 drug stores since January, in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. The most recent incident occurred Nov. 6 around 10:15 a.m. at the Fair Deal Pharmacy on 104th Street in Flushing.

Police say the alleged robbers use the same method each time: the suspects, armed with handguns, enter the drug stores with their faces covered. Then one of the suspects goes behind the counter to grab cash and prescription drugs from the back offices, police say.

The suspects are also wanted for allegedly robbing the Just in Time Pharmacy on Knapp Street in Brooklyn twice, once on April 7 and a second time on May 24. Police say in the May incident the two men got away in a black vehicle.

Other affected drug stores include: Briarwood Pharmacy, R.O.R. Madison Pharmacy, Joseph Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy, Franhill Drugs Inc, Family Pharmacy, Maxwell Pharmacy, and NYC Pharmacy.

The suspects are described as black men in their 20s or 30s. They are both approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weigh 165 pounds.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the New York City Police Department's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Citizens can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers web site at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637 (crimes) then enter TIP577.
