You Better Not Break Any Laws in Paterson...
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- What the...? Did I get a ticket for THAT!?
Actually, no, you just got a 'gentle reminder' from your friendly neighborhood former accounting teacher, Phil Arnone who patrols Knickerbocker Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey.
John Montone Reports
Arnone, a 75-year-old retiree and a former Provo Marshall who patrolled the streets of post-war Germany, leaves his three-part carbon-copied forms where he feels his neighbors have violated the law.
Some of Arnone's violations include overgrown bushes, dog droppings, or over sized trucks parked on the street overnight.
"You are in violation of municipal code 149-1 which prohibits dirt, filth, tall grass, weeds and garbage in yards and lots," Arnone tells 1010 WINS reporter John Montone of an example.
Arnone tells Montone it drives him crazy that city officials have never enforced some of these ordinances.
"There's a law and it must be followed," Arnone tells Montone.
