PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (AP) -- "Christmas" has returned to one Long Island town.
The Patchogue Riverfront Committee says it is restoring the name "Christmas Holiday Boat Parade" to its annual celebration.
It says the event saw a dramatic dropoff in spectators last year, when it was renamed "Holiday Boat Parade." It has been held for 15 years.
The committee says it's restoring the word "Christmas" as a way of "recognizing that most of the participants celebrate" that holiday.
The parade in the Patchogue River will be held Sunday at 6 p.m., featuring Santa Claus.
