Woman Dead After Jersey City Fire

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman's body was found after a fire in Jersey City.

Jersey City Fire Department officials say the woman died of natural causes before the fire, and that the fire was not suspicious.

The fire started at around 1:45am on the first floor of the four story building, then spread to other floors.

Two dozen families were evacuated from the building at 55 Hague Street.

One other woman was taken to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
