Over 500 Shopping Carts Stolen from Bronx Toys 'R' Us

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- According to the NYPD, over 500 shopping carts have been stolen from a Toys 'R' Us store in the Bronx.

The store, located at the Gateway Center Mall on E. 149th St., started noticing fewer and fewer carts as the holiday season shopping began on Black Friday.

In the last few days, however, shoppers were forced to hold their items as they tried to do some last-minute gift shopping.

Some customers were upset and left the store as all of the store's carts have been stolen, say police.

The approximate cost for each cart is $200.
