The report gives a chronology list of what happened from July 17th through July 27th, when the blackout began in northwest Queens and stretched for ten days. However the report draws no conclusions on the causes. Burke says those answers won't come for months.
Bloomberg told reporters he's not satisfied with the report and promised the heat will soon be on the utility.
The mayor added that he plans to bring in outside investigators. Burke, speaking later, said the utility has no problem with that, saying ``we'll take all the help we can get.''
The report was given to Mayor Bloomberg on a day when 6,400 New Yorkers saw the lights go out again. These outages affected all five boroughs including Westchester County.
NYC wasn't the only one affected by a scattered blackout.
On Long Island, the Long Island Power Authority, reported that almost 10,000 customers including 3,000 in Babylon had no power.
In NJ, PSE&G reported that 7,100 customers had no electricity Wednesday night.
