Amber Alert Canceled, Woman Found



NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- New York City police say the teenager who was the focus of an Amber Alert last night turned out to be a
42-year-old woman.

The alert was issued after a teenage girl was reported missing from midtown Manhattan. A description said the teen was between 13 and 15 years old.

Police say she was taken in a car by a 39-year-old man.

Police say the teenager was actually 42 years old. She was found in the East New York section of Brooklyn last night. She was unharmed.

Police say the woman is helping them in the investigation. Authorities still want to question the man about the incident.

He is described as 39 years old, six foot, four inches and about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and pants.
