NEW YORK (AP) -- Mayor Michael Bloomberg says there is a lot New Yorkers can do to help protect the environment from climate change.
One way is by buying 'energy smart' light bulbs. Bloomberg says 2.4 million Con Edison customers will recieve a coupon to purchase a General Electric compact fluorescent light bulbs, or "CFLs." He says the bulbs last eight times longer than other light bulbs. He says for every bulb installed in your home, you can save up to $100 in lower electricity bills and fewer replacement lights over the life of the bulb.
