Cops: Child Witnesses Brooklyn Murder-Suicide

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Firefighters responding to a burning building in Brooklyn early Saturday came upon a grisly scene.

They found a young couple outside the building, dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Police believe the couple's 4 1/2-year old daughter witnessed the killings.

Police say 28-year Christopher Flynn, who lived in the Borough Park building at 1056 62nd street, set the fire. His girlfriend, 27-year old Christina Scarabaggio, ran outside with their daughter and police say Flynn shot her in the face, then turned the gun on himself.

A .380 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.

Authorities say the little girl is traumatized, but not phyiscally harmed. She was taken to Lutheran Hospital for observation.
